Friday night was the weirdest night of the NBA season. All 30 teams played game 81 of 82. At least 168 players were listed as out with injury or illness. SGA sat. Jokic sat. The Grizzlies had 14 players on their injury report. It was the kind of night that makes you wonder why the NBA has 82 games.

The Nuggets still won — extending their streak to 11 — by beating the Thunder 127-107. Neither team's starters played. Denver's bench mob handled OKC's bench mob. The Spurs and Wembanyama were the exception, actually showing up because Wemby needed his 65th game for awards eligibility.

Sunday's finale should look very different. With 14 of 20 playoff teams still needing to clinch their exact seed, expect stars back on the court for the final push.
