Anthony Edwards Returns With a Dagger — Wolves End Houston's 8-Game Streak
Anthony Edwards missed 10 of his last 12 games. He came back Friday on a minutes restriction. And he still hit the shot that mattered most — a dagger three in the final minute to seal Minnesota's 136-132 win over Houston, snapping the Rockets' eight-game winning streak.
Edwards finished with 22 points and 3 made threes, but it was Terrence Shannon Jr. who led the way off the bench with 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including five threes in 28 minutes. Seven Wolves hit double figures in a total team effort.
This was a statement game for Minnesota heading into the final day of the regular season. With the West's seeding still chaotic, the Wolves needed this one. Houston had been the hottest team in the league, and Amen Thompson put up a career-high 41 points (17-of-22 FG) in a losing effort. But when it came down to the final minute, Ant did what Ant does.
