Anthony Edwards is day-to-day with patellofemoral pain in his right knee
Anthony Edwards has missed two consecutive games with patellofemoral pain syndrome in his right knee — commonly known as runner's knee. The good news: there's nothing structural. The bad news: nobody knows exactly when it clears up.
Coach Chris Finch says Edwards remains day-to-day and is cleared to play whenever he feels ready, but the pain is unpredictable. With the playoffs starting April 18, Minnesota is being cautious. Edwards is too important to rush back for regular-season games that don't matter much in the standings.
The Wolves also have Jaden McDaniels sidelined, which thins an already tested roster. If Edwards can't get healthy in time — or can't get reps before the postseason — Minnesota could be in serious trouble against whoever they draw in the first round. The priority is clear: get Ant right, everything else is secondary.
