Cade Cunningham Returns From Collapsed Lung, Drops Double-Double in Blowout
Cade Cunningham's lung literally collapsed on March 17 after a collision with Tre Johnson. He missed 11 games. On Wednesday night, he walked back onto the court and dropped 13 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds in just 26 minutes as the Pistons annihilated the Bucks 137-111.
That's his 38th double-double of the season. In a game where he was on a minutes restriction. After a collapsed lung.
The Pistons have already clinched the No. 1 seed in the East — their first since the 2006-07 season and their first Central Division title since 2007-08. Detroit went 7-4 without Cade, which honestly makes them scarier. This team doesn't fall apart without its best player. They just keep winning.
Now Cade is back, the playoffs start April 18, and Detroit has home court through the Eastern Conference. The rest of the East should be very, very worried.
