Cade Cunningham returned to the Pistons lineup on Wednesday night after missing 11 games with a collapsed lung — and he looked like he never left. In 26 minutes against the Bucks, Cunningham posted 13 points and 10 assists as Detroit rolled to a 137-111 victory.

The collapsed lung happened back on March 19 during a game against Washington. Cunningham described the experience as terrifying — "kind of beat up" physically and mentally. But the Pistons barely missed a beat without their All-Star point guard, going 8-3 during his absence and clinching the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference for the first time since 2007.

With Cunningham back and the playoffs starting April 18, Detroit is suddenly the scariest team in the East. A franchise that was the worst in the NBA two years ago now has home court advantage throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs. Cunningham was averaging 24.5 points, 9.9 assists, and 5.6 rebounds before the injury — if he can get back to that level, the Pistons are a legitimate title contender.
