Cade Cunningham Returns From Collapsed Lung, Drops Double-Double in Pistons Blowout
Cade Cunningham is back — and he looked like he never left.
The Pistons star returned after missing 11 games with a collapsed lung (yes, a collapsed lung) and put up 13 points and 10 assists in just 26 minutes as Detroit steamrolled the Bucks 137-111. The Pistons, who already locked up the No. 1 seed in the East, got Jalen Duren going for 21 points and 9 rebounds in a thoroughly dominant performance.
For Milwaukee, it was ugly. The Bucks had no answer for Detroit's depth and energy. Jericho Sims notched a surprise triple-double (11/11/10) but it was in garbage time of a game that was over by halftime. With the regular season ending Sunday, Cunningham's return is massive for Detroit's playoff hopes — having your franchise point guard healthy heading into the postseason changes everything.
