Donovan Mitchell returned from an ankle sprain and the Cavs held off the Hawks 122-116 with Evan Mobley's help.

Donovan Mitchell was listed as questionable with a right ankle sprain that kept him out of Monday's game against Memphis. He played anyway. Mitchell and Evan Mobley combined to hold off a feisty Hawks team, with Cleveland winning 122-116 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The Cavs improve to 51-29, continuing to battle for seeding in a crowded Eastern Conference. Mobley has been on a tear lately — he put up 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in his last outing against the Grizzlies and has been arguably Cleveland's most consistent player down the stretch.

For Atlanta, the loss stings. The Hawks are 45-35 and still haven't clinched a playoff spot. They need one more win — or some help — to officially avoid the Play-In. With the Magic surging and the Hornets right behind them, nothing is guaranteed in the East right now.
