Celtics tied the NBA record with 29 three-pointers in a 144-118 annihilation of the Pelicans.

The Boston Celtics put on a three-point shooting clinic for the ages, tying the NBA record with 29 made threes in a 144-118 blowout of the New Orleans Pelicans. Sam Hauser led the barrage with a game-high eight triples, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points in just 29 minutes before sitting the entire fourth quarter. Payton Pritchard finished with 21 points and 10 assists.

The Celtics came agonizingly close to breaking the record — they had three chances in the final minute. Luka Garza passed up a three for a dunk, then Baylor Scheierman rimmed out a three after Garza blocked Jeremiah Fears on the other end. The record of 29, originally set by Boston themselves against the Knicks in October 2024, is shared with the Grizzlies and Bucks.

Beyond the record chase, the win clinched the 2-seed in the East and the Atlantic Division title. At 55-26, it marks Joe Mazzulla's fourth consecutive 50-win season as head coach. Pelicans rookie Jeremiah Fears had 36 in a losing effort, while Derik Queen added 25 and 11.
