KD Drops 24 in Return to Phoenix, Rockets Beat Suns for 7th Straight Win
Kevin Durant returned to Phoenix and reminded the Suns exactly what they lost. KD poured in 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting with 5 three-pointers as the Houston Rockets erased a 21-point deficit and pulled away late to beat the Suns 119-105.
The highlight of the night? Durant juking Dillon Brooks so badly that Brooks stumbled to his knees. The two had been jawing all night, but KD let his game do the talking — and then roasted Brooks after for good measure.
Houston has now won 7 straight games and pulled even with the Lakers for the 4/5 seeds in the Western Conference. The Lakers hold the tiebreaker, but with LeBron's squad reeling — three straight losses since Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves went down with injuries on April 2 — the Rockets are in prime position to steal the 4-seed down the stretch. Three games left to settle it.
