Edwards Confirmed Week-to-Week With Knee Issue — Wolves Still Beat Pacers 124-104

Anthony Edwards' knee issue just got a lot more concerning. What the Timberwolves initially called day-to-day is now officially week-to-week — patella tendinopathy in his left knee, similar to the injury that sidelined Steph Curry for roughly two months.

Edwards has now missed eight of Minnesota's last ten games, and sat out Tuesday's 124-104 win over the Pacers. Bones Hyland stepped up with 19 points and 7 assists, but this is a team built around Ant's gravity. Without him, the Wolves are surviving, not thriving.

The optimistic view: Edwards is 25, not 38, and has a history of bouncing back fast. The playoffs start April 18, giving him about 10 days. The pessimistic view: this is the kind of knee injury where the pain doesn't follow a linear recovery. The Timberwolves are locked into the postseason picture regardless — the question is whether they'll have their best player when it matters.
