Grizzlies Tie NBA Record With 29 Threes — and Still Lose by 16
Memphis did something last night that only two other teams have ever done — they hit 29 three-pointers in a single game, tying the NBA record shared by the 2020 Bucks and 2024 Celtics. All nine Grizzlies who played connected from deep, shooting 49% from behind the arc on 59 attempts.
And they still lost by 16.
Cleveland trailed by 17 in the first half before flipping a switch with a devastating 31-12 run to take a 68-64 lead into halftime. Evan Mobley led the way with 24 points while Dennis Schroder added 22 and 11 assists. The Cavs hit 50 wins for the second straight season (50-29) while the Grizzlies learned a painful lesson: you can make history from three and still get outplayed everywhere else.
