Jokic went full Jokic

Nikola Jokić reminded everyone why he's the best player on the planet. Down 18 points against the Trail Blazers, Jokić put the Nuggets on his back with a 35-point, 13-rebound, 13-assist triple-double to engineer a comeback and win 137-132 in overtime.

That's 9 straight wins for Denver, their longest streak of the season. More importantly, it vaulted the Nuggets from the 4 seed to the 3 seed in the West, jumping the injury-ravaged Lakers in the process. The timing couldn't be worse for LA — or better for Denver.

Jokić now has his 9th triple-double of the season and the Nuggets are playing their best basketball at the perfect time. With the playoffs starting April 18, Denver looks like the team nobody wants to face in the West. Meanwhile, Portland fought hard but drops to 28-50 with the OT loss.
