KD Scores 29, Rockets Win 8th Straight as Sixers Rally Falls Short

Kevin Durant scored a game-high 29 points and drilled a critical late three-pointer as the Houston Rockets held off the Philadelphia 76ers 113-102 on Thursday night, extending their winning streak to eight games.

The Rockets looked like they had it wrapped up early, building a 28-point lead in the third quarter. But the Sixers — already reeling from Embiid's emergency surgery earlier that day — mounted a furious comeback and cut the deficit to 107-102. That's when Durant buried the dagger three to seal it.

Jabari Smith Jr. and Amen Thompson each added 19 points for Houston, while Tari Eason contributed 15 points and 8 rebounds off the bench. The Rockets are surging at exactly the right time heading into the postseason, with Durant looking like vintage KD in the season's final stretch.
