Luka Doncic flew to Spain for specialized hamstring treatment.

The Lakers are in crisis mode. Luka Doncic has flown to Spain to seek specialized treatment for his hamstring injury, while Austin Reaves was ruled out 4-6 weeks with an oblique strain. Both injuries came in the same loss to the Thunder, and with the playoffs starting April 18, the timing is catastrophic.

Luka's decision to seek treatment in Europe rather than rely on the Lakers' medical staff speaks volumes about the severity — or at least his concern about it. The hamstring has been a lingering issue, and there's no guarantee he'll be ready for a first-round series even if the Lakers survive the play-in.

Without Reaves, the Lakers lose their second-best creator and one of the few players who can consistently generate offense. LeBron James, at 41 years old, is being asked to shoulder an enormous burden. The Lakers have the talent to make noise in the playoffs, but only if their stars are actually on the court.
