Austin Reaves is done for the regular season.

The Lakers' playoff hopes just took another devastating hit. Austin Reaves has been ruled out for the remainder of the regular season with a Grade 2 oblique strain, joining Luka Doncic (Grade 2 hamstring) on the sideline. Both were injured in last Thursday's blowout loss to the Thunder.

Reaves is projected to miss 4-6 weeks, meaning he'd be out through at least the first round of the playoffs — if the Lakers even get there. Doncic's timeline is similarly grim. With their two best scorers done, DraftKings immediately moved the Lakers' title odds to 120-1, up from 30-1 before the injuries.

That leaves 41-year-old LeBron James as essentially the only offensive engine on the roster. The Lakers' hold on the 3-seed is down to half a game over the surging Nuggets, who have won eight straight. Denver has a brutal remaining schedule, but with LeBron carrying this load alone, LA could easily slip into the play-in tournament. This was supposed to be Luka's first real playoff run as a Laker. Instead, it might be LeBron's last stand.
