LeBron Became the 4th Player in NBA History to Hit 12,000 Career Assists

LeBron James added another line to his already impossible resume on Friday night. With 28 points and 12 assists in a dominant 101-73 win over the Suns, LeBron became just the fourth player in NBA history to reach 12,000 career assists — joining John Stockton, Jason Kidd, and Steve Nash.

Think about that list. Three of the greatest pure point guards ever. And a 6'9 forward who also happens to be the all-time leading scorer. The Lakers held Phoenix to just 25 second-half points, and LeBron orchestrated the offense like he was playing pickup. Luke Kennard added 19.

The win locked LA (52-29) into no worse than the 4th seed in the West with homecourt advantage in Round 1. Sunday's finale against Denver decides who gets the 3-seed. After 23 seasons, LeBron is still writing new chapters.
