Luka Flies to Spain for Hamstring Treatment — Targeting Playoff Return
Luka Doncic is done for the regular season. That much is certain. But the Lakers star isn't sitting around waiting — he flew to Spain this week for a specialized hamstring injection aimed at accelerating his recovery from the Grade 2 strain he suffered April 2nd against the Thunder.
A Grade 2 hamstring typically means a month on the shelf. The NBA Playoffs start April 18. Do the math — that's cutting it extremely close. Luka's camp says he's targeting a first-round return, but the Lakers can't afford to rush him back and risk a worse injury.
Meanwhile, Austin Reaves is also out with a Grade 2 oblique strain from the same Thunder game. The Lakers went from a comfortable 4-seed to a team in survival mode, and the Nuggets just passed them for 3rd. If Luka can't go for Round 1, LA's season could be over before it starts.
