Two games left for every team.

The final 48 hours of the 2025-26 NBA regular season are going to be pure chaos. Every team has exactly two games remaining — all 30 play tonight, and all 30 play again Sunday. And yet only 6 of the 20 postseason seeds are officially locked in.

In the West, the Thunder have the #1 seed, the Spurs are locked at #2, and the Timberwolves are set at #6. The Suns have the #7 play-in seed and the Warriors have #10. Everything else — from the #3 through #5 seeds and the #8/#9 play-in matchups — is still up for grabs.

In the East, the Pistons are the #1 seed. That's the only thing that's settled. The Celtics have a magic number of 1 for the #2 seed, but the Knicks — who beat Boston on Thursday — are still mathematically alive. New York needs to win out and have Boston lose both remaining games. The play-in tournament starts April 14, and the first round of the playoffs tips off April 18. Tonight's 15-game slate could shift half the bracket.
