4 days until the regular season ends

Four days remain in the 2025-26 regular season, and the playoff picture is almost set — but not quite.

In the East, the Detroit Pistons have locked up the #1 seed at 57-22 in one of the most stunning turnarounds in recent NBA history. Boston (53-25), New York (51-28), and Cleveland (50-29) round out the top four. The 5-6 battle between the Hawks and Raptors is the main drama left.

The West is a different story. OKC and San Antonio are locked into the top two seeds, but seeds 3 through 6 are a knife fight. Denver jumped the Lakers for the 3rd seed on the back of a 9-game win streak. Houston's 7-game streak has them tied with LA for 4th. Minnesota clinched 6th. The Suns, Blazers, Clippers, and Warriors are all locked into the play-in.

All 30 teams play on April 12 (the final day), rosters lock April 13, the play-in runs April 14-17, and the real thing starts April 18.
