The 2026 SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament tips off Tuesday, April 14 and runs through Thursday, April 17. Eight teams in each conference will battle for the final four playoff spots, and this year's field is absolutely stacked.

In the West, the 7-8 game features the Phoenix Suns hosting the Portland Trail Blazers — the winner gets the 7-seed, the loser gets one more shot. The 9-10 game pits the LA Clippers against the Golden State Warriors in what could be the most-watched play-in game ever. On the East side, the Orlando Magic face the Philadelphia 76ers in the 7-8 game, while the Charlotte Hornets take on the Miami Heat in the 9-10.

The biggest storyline? Joel Embiid is almost certainly out for Philadelphia after undergoing emergency appendicitis surgery on Thursday. The Sixers were already shaky — now they're heading into a win-or-go-home scenario without their franchise player. The full first round of the NBA Playoffs begins Saturday, April 18.
