KD Dropped 29 as the Rockets Won Their 8th Straight. Houston Is Tied for 4th in the West.

The Houston Rockets just keep rolling. Kevin Durant dropped 29 points — including a dagger three that ended a 16-0 Sixers run — as Houston beat Philly 113-102 for their eighth consecutive win.

The Rockets built a 23-point lead heading into the fourth, then watched the Sixers (playing without Embiid after his emergency appendectomy) rattle off a 16-0 run behind reserve Quentin Grimes' 20 points. Houston went scoreless for over five minutes. Then KD did what KD does — buried a three to ice it.

At 51-29, the Rockets are now tied with the Lakers for the 4th seed in the West. Eight straight wins heading into the final weekend of the season is exactly the kind of momentum a team wants entering the playoffs. Houston hasn't looked this locked in since KD's OKC days.
