Spurs hit 60 wins after beating the 76ers 115-102
The San Antonio Spurs beat the Philadelphia 76ers 115-102 to reach 60 wins on the season — and they did it after losing Victor Wembanyama to a left rib contusion in the first half. Paul George collided with Wemby while attempting to deflect a pass, and the 22-year-old played through it for five more minutes before asking out with 44 seconds left in the second quarter.
Stephon Castle stepped up huge with 17 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds — a triple-double from the second-year guard that showed exactly why the Spurs' depth is their secret weapon. Luke Kornet started the second half and added 10 points. Joel Embiid had 34 and 12 in a losing effort.
The bigger story is Wemby's availability. He's played 64 games — one short of the 65-game threshold for MVP, DPOY, and All-NBA eligibility. The Spurs have 3 games left. San Antonio (60-19) sits 2.5 games behind OKC (62-16) for the 1 seed.
