Steph Curry Says His Ankle Is Fine. The Warriors Need Him Today.
Steph Curry rolled his right ankle in the first three minutes against the Kings on Friday and didn't return after 27 minutes. Three games into his comeback from a 2-month knee injury, another ankle scare was the last thing Golden State needed.
But Curry is saying all the right things. He told reporters there's "nothing structurally wrong" and he's targeting normal minutes today against the Clippers in Los Angeles. Steve Kerr backed him up, calling it a non-concern.
The Warriors need every game right now. They're clinging to the 10th seed in the West, which would put them in the play-in tournament starting Tuesday. A loss today could end their season before the playoffs even start. Curry just turned 38 and has played 52 games this year. The body is talking. The question is whether he's still listening.
