Steph Curry Returns After 27 Games, Drops 29 in Warriors' Loss
Steph Curry walked onto the court for the first time in 64 days and the Chase Center crowd lost it. A standing ovation. His name on the big screen. Then he went out and reminded everyone who he is — 29 points on 11-of-21 shooting and 5-of-10 from three in his first game back from a right knee injury.
He came off the bench for the first time in 14 regular seasons. He scored 19 of his 29 in the second half. He looked like Steph.
But the Warriors still lost, 117-116 to the Rockets. Golden State is clinging to the 10th and final Play-In spot with four games left. Steve Kerr said it best: "We're back in the fight." The question is whether four games is enough time for Curry to drag this team into the postseason. History says don't bet against him.
