Steph Curry Returns After 27 Games — Drops 29 Off the Bench
Stephen Curry hadn't played since February. Twenty-seven games missed with a right knee injury. When he finally came back Sunday night against the Rockets, Steve Kerr brought him off the bench — the first time Curry hasn't started a game since his rookie year in 2010.
It didn't matter. Curry dropped 29 points on 5-of-10 from three. Vintage Steph. The kind of performance that makes you forget he's 38 and just missed two months. The Warriors still lost 117-116 to Houston, because of course they did — this season has been that kind of year for Golden State.
But Kerr's message was clear: "We're back in the fight." The Warriors are scrapping for a play-in spot, and having Curry back changes everything. The question is whether there's enough time. The regular season ends in five days.
