Thunder Clinch No. 1 Seed With 64th Win — Only 5 Teams Have Ever Done This

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the No. 1 seed in the NBA for the third consecutive season. A 128-110 road win over the LA Clippers gave OKC its 64th victory and locked up home court advantage throughout the entire 2026 postseason.

Only five other teams in NBA history have held the top seed for three straight years since the league went to the 16-team playoff format in 1983-84. The Thunder have 132 regular-season wins over the past two campaigns — 68-14 last year, 64-16 this year with two games left. Only the Jordan Bulls and Curry Warriors racked up more wins over a two-year span.

Chet Holmgren dominated the Clippers in the clincher while SGA orchestrated the offense with his usual surgical precision. The defending champs look locked in heading into the postseason, and nobody in the West wants to see them in a seven-game series.
