Thunder Clinch #1 Seed With 64th Win — Third Straight Year on Top

The Oklahoma City Thunder clinched the No. 1 overall seed and the best record in the NBA on Wednesday night, dismantling the LA Clippers 128-110 at Intuit Dome for their 64th win of the season. Chet Holmgren dominated the interior in the blowout.

This marks OKC's third consecutive year atop the Western Conference — a feat only five other franchises in NBA history have accomplished. At 64-16, the Thunder are one win away from consecutive 65-win seasons for the first time in franchise history. They've locked up home-court advantage throughout the entire 2026 playoffs.

The Thunder's dynasty-in-the-making has been built around Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's MVP-caliber play and Holmgren's two-way dominance. With two regular season games remaining, the only question left is whether they can match last year's win total. The real test starts April 18 when the first round tips off.
