Thunder Clinch #1 Seed for Third Straight Year With 64 Wins
The Oklahoma City Thunder have clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference for the third consecutive season — a feat accomplished by only six teams since the NBA went to the 16-team playoff format in 1983-84. Their 128-110 road win over the Clippers gave them 64 victories with two games remaining.
The numbers are staggering. Over the past two seasons, the Thunder have won 132 regular-season games (68-14 last year, 64-16 this year). Only the Michael Jordan Bulls and the Stephen Curry Warriors have had a better two-year stretch. One more win and OKC becomes the first franchise in history to post consecutive 65-win seasons.
This is the team everyone has to go through. SGA, Chet Holmgren, and a supporting cast that's gotten deeper every year. The Thunder aren't just defending their title — they're building a dynasty in real time.
