Ayo Dosunmu scored 24
The Timberwolves are playoff-bound for the fifth consecutive season — and they did it without their best player. Anthony Edwards sat out Tuesday's 124-104 win over the Pacers with a knee issue, but it didn't matter. Ayo Dosunmu stepped up with 24 points, while Julius Randle and Bones Hyland each added 19.
Minnesota clinched a guaranteed top-6 seed in the West, avoiding the play-in tournament entirely, when the Suns lost to Houston later Tuesday night. The Wolves snapped a three-game losing streak and looked like the team that made the Western Conference Finals two years ago.
The concern is Edwards's health. He's been a game-time decision lately, and Minnesota needs him at full strength for a potential first-round series against Denver or San Antonio. But for now — five straight years in the playoffs for a franchise that went 18 years without one before this run.
