Two Days Left: 14 of 20 Playoff Seeds Are Still Up for Grabs
The 2025-26 NBA regular season ends Sunday, and almost nothing is settled. Fourteen of 20 postseason seeds are still in play heading into the final two days. Only six teams — including OKC at No. 1 in the West and Detroit at No. 1 in the East — have clinched their exact seed.
Friday night features all 30 teams in action, and the seeding implications are massive. The Knicks are still alive for the No. 2 seed in the East after beating Boston, but they need help. In the West, the Spurs, Rockets, and Timberwolves are all jockeying for position behind the Thunder.
The SoFi Play-In Tournament starts April 14, with the full playoffs tipping off April 18. The "Chasing History" docuseries launches tomorrow on NBA TV, following OKC's title defense, Detroit's rise, and San Antonio's first playoff appearance since 2019. Two more days of regular season basketball, and then it's win or go home.
