Angel Reese's Atlanta Dream debut tonight at Lynx — Olivia Miles makes her WNBA debut on the other side

Angel Reese's Atlanta Dream debut goes down tonight at 8 PM ET in Minneapolis vs. the Lynx. The two-time All-Star was dealt out of Chicago in the offseason — a stunner — and slots into a Dream frontcourt that finally has the rebounder it's been missing. With Brittney Griner gone via free agency and Brionna Jones starting the year hurt, Reese will be the entire interior story for Atlanta from minute one.

She averaged 14.7 and 12.6 with the Sky last year. Atlanta's pitch is simple: surround her with Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, and Jordin Canada and let the rebounding numbers stay obscene while the offense actually flows. The Dream are a popular sleeper title pick this year — the home opener is May 17 vs. the defending champion Aces.

Other side of this game: Olivia Miles, the No. 2 pick out of TCU and Notre Dame, makes her WNBA debut. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve called her "the first real point guard we've had since Lindsay Whalen" — that's the franchise's all-time icon she's invoking. Miles averaged 15.6/6.5/6.3 in college. Two debuts, one game, one of the marquee Saturday-night openers in the W.
