Hornets' Brandon Miller has shoulder surgery, no timeline
Brandon Miller is going under the knife. The Hornets announced Wednesday that their 23-year-old wing had surgery on his left shoulder to address instability — the same shoulder that cost him most of November after a subluxation early in the season.
Charlotte didn't put out a recovery timeline. Just "out indefinitely" and "updates as appropriate." For a franchise that has now had its top young player end the year on the operating table in three straight seasons — Miller's wrist in 2024-25, his shoulder this year — that's a familiar gut punch.
The 2023 No. 2 pick had finally put together a healthy run, averaging 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists across 65 starts. He's expected to make a full recovery in time for training camp, but Hornets fans won't see him on a court until at least September. Another lottery summer in Charlotte. Another star in a sling.
