Knicks beat Sixers 108-102 to take 2-0, but OG Anunoby exits with leg injury
Knicks 108, Sixers 102. New York is up 2-0 in the second round — but Madison Square Garden held its breath in the final three minutes. OG Anunoby pulled up grabbing the back of his right leg, walked gingerly to the locker room, and didn't come back. Coach Mike Brown gave no update postgame.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 26 points. Karl-Anthony Towns put up a 20-10-7 line. Tyrese Maxey kept Philly in it with 31, but the Sixers couldn't close the gap with Joel Embiid sitting out for the second straight game (right ankle, right hip).
Game 3 is Friday in Philadelphia. If Anunoby is out, the Knicks lose their best wing defender against Maxey just as the series shifts to a hostile road environment. New York's 2-0 lead suddenly feels less comfortable.
