Knicks blow out Sixers 137-98 in Game 1 — Brunson drops 35

The Knicks didn't just win Game 1. They embarrassed Philadelphia. 137-98. A 39-point demolition. The most points the Sixers gave up all season. By the third quarter, this game was already cooked.

Jalen Brunson did the damage early — 27 of his 35 points came in the first half. He shot 12-of-18 from the field, 3-of-6 from three, 8-of-8 from the line. One turnover in 31 minutes, then he sat. The Knicks led 74-51 at halftime and shot 61.4% from the field for the game. Tyrese Maxey scratched out 22 for the Sixers but the rest of Philly shot a combined 37%, and Joel Embiid couldn't find any rhythm in his second game back from injury.

This was supposed to be a series. Game 2 is in New York on Wednesday night. The Sixers either find an answer or the Knicks roll. Right now, it doesn't look close.
