OG Anunoby ruled OUT for Game 4 vs 76ers as Knicks chase the sweep
The Knicks will try to finish off the Sixers without one of their best two-way wings. OG Anunoby is officially OUT for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semis with the hamstring strain that's been hanging on since the back end of Game 2. He was listed as questionable as recently as Sunday morning before head coach Mike Brown ruled him out at his pregame availability.
The good news for New York: they're up 3-0. They've been the better team in every game and don't really need to push it. The bad news: when you're trying to clinch on the road and one of your best perimeter defenders is in street clothes, weird things happen — and Embiid suiting up means the Sixers have at least one real center of gravity to work around.
A win and the Knicks are headed to a second straight Eastern Conference Finals — likely facing the Pistons-Cavaliers winner. A loss and they extend a series that should already be over, with Anunoby's status for the next round suddenly murky. New York is 16-4 over their last 20 playoff games when leading 3-0. Books still have them as comfortable favorites. Tip is 3:30 ET on ABC.
