Pistons Steal Game 1 in Cleveland, Cade Cunningham Drops 23-7

Detroit just walked into Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse and beat the 1-seed. Pistons 111, Cavaliers 101. Cade Cunningham was the best player on the floor — 23 points, 7 assists, in command from the opening tip.

Donovan Mitchell put up 23 for Cleveland but the Cavs never quite locked in defensively. The late Cavaliers run came up short. Detroit, the East's most surprising team all year, now has homecourt advantage in a 2nd-round series after one game.

Game 2 is Thursday in Cleveland. The Cavs were the heavy favorite to come out of the East. Cade just put the entire conference on notice.
