Angel Reese debuts in Atlanta, Olivia Miles tips off in Minnesota, Portland Fire opens in Rose City — all tonight

Saturday night is the WNBA's biggest debut slate of the year. Three things you should be watching:

Angel Reese in Atlanta colors. Reese plays her first regular-season game as a member of the Dream tonight at 8 PM ET in Minneapolis after the trade from Chicago. Atlanta came in third in the GM survey for title odds — behind only Las Vegas and New York — making Reese's fit immediately load-bearing on a contender. She had 8/7/3/2 against her old team in preseason. The Lynx, who counter with No. 2 overall pick Olivia Miles, are still without Napheesa Collier (offseason ankle surgery, expected back in June). Cheryl Reeve called Miles "the first real point guard we've had since Lindsay Whalen" on draft night.

The Portland Fire returns pro women's basketball to Oregon. Tipoff at Moda Center at 6 PM ET against the Chicago Sky on NBA TV. The original Fire folded in 2002; the new one starts tonight. Three games into the season, all 15 WNBA franchises will have played a regular-season game for the first time in league history.
