Spurs-Wolves tied 1-1, Game 3 tonight at Target Center

Tonight is the pivot. Spurs and Timberwolves are tied 1-1 heading into Game 3 at Target Center, 9:30 ET on Prime Video, and after splitting in San Antonio the series gets actually interesting.

Game 1 was the upset — Wolves walked into AT&T Center and stole one. Game 2 was the answer. Spurs ran Minnesota out of the building 133-95, six San Antonio players in double figures, Wolves never finding a punch back. Wemby looked like the version of himself the league fears — fully past the concussion that took him out for one game in the first round vs. Portland and now back to anchoring the best defense remaining in the playoffs.

The Wolves get Anthony Edwards on home floor and a crowd that's been waiting for this moment since they were eliminated in the conference finals two seasons running. They need more than Ant tonight — they need Naz Reid, Jaden McDaniels, and someone to slow Wemby down. Spurs are 7-1 in their last eight; one win tonight and Minnesota's series gets very dark very fast.
