Thunder dominate Lakers 108-90 in Game 1, Holmgren goes for 24 and 12

The defending champs sleepwalked through a 108-90 Game 1 win and the Lakers still couldn't get within ten. Chet Holmgren ate Rui Hachimura at the rim — 24 points, 12 rebounds, six dunks. Six. He had four free throws and six field-goal attempts inside of 12 feet by halftime. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander didn't even need to crank, finishing with 18 on 8-of-15 and six assists.

OKC's nine offensive rebounds turned into a 21-11 second-chance edge. Isaiah Hartenstein had 8 and 9 with four dimes off the bench, and the Thunder shot 49.4% from the floor while making 13 threes. That's a top seed at full operational capacity — the kind of game where the role players show up *and* the stars show up *and* there's still margin for SGA to ease into the series. Five-and-oh in these playoffs after sweeping Phoenix.

For L.A., LeBron was actually great. 27, 4, 6 at 41 — he's not the problem. The problem is that Luka Dončić has not played a single NBA minute in 32 days and "is not close" per Brian Windhorst's reporting. Hachimura had 18, Austin Reaves struggled. Game 2 is Wednesday in OKC and the math gets harder by the day. Lakers are running out of time to get healthy.
