Vanderbilt fully dislocates pinkie blocking Holmgren in Game 1

It happened in the second quarter. Jarred Vanderbilt went up to contest a Chet Holmgren drive and his right hand caught the backboard awkwardly. He came down clutching the pinkie. Cameras caught it bent at a 90-degree angle.

Diagnosis: full dislocation. The bone broke through the skin. Vanderbilt got stitches in the locker room postgame. He played six minutes total — two points, one rebound, then out for the night.

The Lakers lost 108-90, and Game 1 wasn't really that close. SGA had 31, Holmgren put up 24 and 12, and Austin Reaves shot 3-of-16 with four turnovers in the worst playoff game of his career. Luka Doncic still hasn't played since hurting his hamstring 32 days ago. Now LA is down 0-1, missing its second-best player, and another rotation guy went under the knife. Game 2 is Thursday in OKC.
