Wembanyama Sets NBA Playoff Blocks Record, But Wolves Steal Game 1
Victor Wembanyama broke an NBA playoff record on Monday — 12 blocks in a single postseason game. The previous record was 10. Wemby finished with 11 points, 15 rebounds, and rejected everything that came near the rim. It was Hakeem-level basketball.
Then Anthony Edwards walked into the building. Out for the first round with a hamstring strain, Ant returned for Game 1 of the West semis and dropped 18 points. The Wolves held on 104-102, surviving a buzzer-beater 3 attempt from Julian Champagnie that rattled out.
Spurs got a generational defensive performance. Wolves got their superstar back. The series is going to be physical, ugly, and great.
