Wolves take 2-0 lead over Spurs as Wembanyama posts another 12-block triple-double

Wolves 104, Spurs 102. Minnesota walked into San Antonio and stole Game 2, and now they're flying home with a 2-0 lead in the West semis. Anthony Edwards went for 31. The defense, again, was suffocating.

Victor Wembanyama did everything except win. He posted ANOTHER triple-double of an absurd new variety — 11 points, 15 rebounds, 12 blocks. That's two straight games with double-digit blocks. He set the NBA playoff single-game blocks record with 12 in Game 1, then tied it himself two nights later. Nobody had ever even had one such game in playoff history before this series. He's had two in a row.

Doesn't matter. Spurs are 0-2 because the help around Wembanyama isn't there yet — Julian Champagnie's potential game-winner came up short at the rim in Game 1, and Game 2 came down to the wire again. Series shifts to Minneapolis on Saturday. The Wolves are two wins from the conference finals; San Antonio's brilliant defensive star is one game from being on the wrong end of a sweep.
